The Manga

Gakuen Tokkei Duklyon is a manga by CLAMP and published by Kadokawa Shoten. The first volume originally came out in 1992 and the second in 1993. It has since been picked up in English by TokyoPop, in French by Pika Édition, in German by EMA (Egmont Manga and Anime) and in Italian by Star Comics.

The Story

Duklyon is about the school guard Duklyon, a pair of sentai-esque superheroes who protect CLAMP School. It's mainly a comedy manga, with a secondary mix of action and romance. The main story revolves around Duklyon fighting against the Imonoyama Shoutengai (literally "Imonoyama Shopping District"), a mysterious group of aliens intent on taking over the campus and then the world.

The Characters

Duklyon's characters include bubbly and enthusiastic Higashikunimaru Kentarou, whose goal is to be Takeshi's bride, Shuukaidou Takeshi, who is sensible and determined and wishes his partner would grow up a bit, Chuusonji Erii, who spends most of her time smacking the boys with giant mallets when they're running later, the Boss, a mysterious sunglasses-clad boy and Sukiyabashi Kotobuki, Takeshi and Kentarou's classmate and friend.
